MARCH 18TH. TASKS

Dear students, these are the tasks for today!

Please, send me the exercises in the same e-mail, to save energy

LISTENING and WRITING:

1-SONG. ESO 3 AND BACH 1

Listen to this song.
Pay attention to the lyrics. Write a short text including:

-The topic of the song

-How it makes you feel.

-Where, when and why you think this song was written.

Did you know that this song was part of a famous film's soundtrack? Which one?

2-GRAMMAR VIDEO. BACH 1.

Watch this video.

Take notes while you are watching. Also, read everything here before you start doing the task

After that, write three examples about yourself, one with "used to", another one with "be used to" and another one with "get used to". They have to be followed by a short explanation so that I know you understand what you are saying.

Here are my examples:

1-I used to send letters to my friends when I was a teenager. At those times it wasn't easy to meet if you didn't live in the same town, and we loved to write letters.

2-We are fortunately not used to staying home and going out only to buy food. That is why this is such a hard time. Notice that this "to" is a preposition, not part of an infinitive. Remember PREPOSITION + ING FORM.

How do we know "to" is a preposition? Place a noun afterwards. It will make sense. Example:

I'm used to the sun.

It is the same with "get used to"

3-The dog is getting used to doing its business on the street, so now we have no problems at home.
(Notice that this is a process)

In the expressions "be used to" and "ges used to", be and get can be used in any tense.
